​The Good Afternoon Choir Cirencester & Stroud have chosen to support The Churn Community Hub
with their fundraising concerts and events in 2026

The Good Afternoon Choir Cirencester & Stroud rehearse every Tuesday afternoon at Cirencester Baptist Church from 2.00-4.00pm.

Grenville Jones, the founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs is delighted that John Sandford is the leader of the Good Afternoon Choir Cirencester & Stroud.

John is a Choral Music Director with over 40 years' experience running children's and adult choirs. He holds a Certificate of Teaching from the Royal School of Music specialising in voice training. John moved to Bath in 2016 and has immersed himself in the local music scene. He is a keen musician who plays bass guitar in two rock bands and keyboards in a ceilidh band. ​

A warm welcome awaits any new members, there are NO auditions and everyone is welcome! There is no charge for attending your first rehearsal. Come alone or with a friend – either way the Choir will be pleased to meet you. You will be joining over 1,000 people singing at Good Afternoon Choirs around the South West and beyond!

Membership forms are available to collect at every rehearsal. The choir rehearsals are in 4 terms of 10 weeks and members pay £63 per term – this covers room and piano hire, music, admin and musician fees. You do not need to join at the start of a term, you can simply come along to any rehearsal and pick up a membership form should you wish to join the choir – your fee will then be worked out for the remainder of that term.
